A person reads it. If you are reporting something urgent — harassment, or
content involving a minor — put URGENT in the subject line.
Safety and moderation
Reporting a post
Tap the ⋯ menu on any post and choose Report. Pick a reason — harassment, nudity, dangerous, spam, plagiarism or something else — and add a note if it helps. One report per person per post, so nobody can pile on alone.
When two different people report the same post, it is hidden automatically while we review it — it does not sit there waiting for someone to notice. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours.
Reporting a comment
Tap Report underneath the comment. Same reasons, same 24-hour commitment. The person who wrote it is not told who reported it.
Blocking someone
From their profile, or the ⋯ menu on anything they posted. Blocking works both ways: you stop seeing them, they stop seeing you, everywhere in the app — their posts, their comments and their likes vanish from your view, and yours from theirs. You do not need a reason and they are not told.
Settings → Blocked accounts lists everyone you have blocked, and unblocks them.
Something urgent
Email proov.get@gmail.com with
URGENT in the subject. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your
local emergency services first — we are an app, and we cannot help fast enough.
Your account
The confirmation code did not arrive
- Check spam. It comes from
noreply@proov.fit, subject line "NNNNNN is your PROOV code". - Codes expire after ten minutes. Tap Send another — there is a 60-second wait between sends, which is deliberate.
- Check the address for a typo. If it is wrong, tap Use a different email and start again.
I signed up but never entered the code
Sign in with the same email and password. The app will notice the account was never confirmed, send a fresh code, and take you straight to the code screen.
I forgot my password
Email us for now. Self-service password reset is coming.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account. You type a confirmation and it runs immediately — there is no waiting period and no dark pattern.
What goes: your login, profile, every enrolment, every PROOV, every post, comment and like, your notification settings, and the delivery token for every device you were signed in on. What stays: challenges you created that other people joined. Those transfer to a platform account and are archived, with your name removed, because other people's records of their own work are attached to them.
If people are part-way through a challenge you created, deletion is refused until you archive it and let them finish. The full detail, including the one thing that currently survives deletion, is in the Privacy Policy.
Notifications
Turning them on
Settings → Reminders. The phone asks once for permission at that moment. If you said no earlier, iOS will not ask again — the app will send you to the system Settings for PROOV, where you can switch it back on.
What you will actually get
- One reminder a day, at the hour you pick, and only if you have a day still open. Rest days get nothing. Nothing arrives after your deadline has passed.
- One social notification a day, batched — "3 people reacted to your Day 6 post" rather than one buzz per like.
That is the whole budget and it is enforced in the database, not by good intentions. There is no marketing push, and there never will be.
The reminder came at the wrong time
The hour you pick is read in your own time zone, which the app takes from your device. If you have moved, open the app once and it catches up.
Turning them off
Flip the switches in Settings → Reminders. Turning both off deletes this device's delivery token, so nothing can reach it even by accident. Other devices you are signed in on are unaffected. Signing out does the same thing.
Likes, comments and the activity feed
Who can see my post?
The people in the challenge you posted it to. Anyone who can see the post can like it and comment on it; anyone who cannot, cannot.
Where do I see who liked my post?
The bell. It lists every like and comment other people left on your posts, newest first, and the badge clears when you open it. Your own likes on your own posts are not news and are not listed.
I deleted my comment and it is still in your database
It is hidden from everyone, including the person whose post it was on. The row stays so that a report filed against it still has a subject. It goes for good when you delete your account.
Using PROOV
A day ends at midnight — whose midnight?
Yours. Every deadline is midnight in your own time zone, which the app takes from your device. Travel across time zones and the app follows you.
I missed a day
It depends on the challenge, and it is stated on the join screen before you commit:
- Forgiving — the day comes back tomorrow. Your streak resets, the finish line moves.
- Strict — the day is gone. The challenge still ends on schedule.
- Make-up — you can do the missed day later for more than it originally asked.
Why did my streak reset when I completed a day?
Your profile streak needs every day due across every challenge you are in. Each challenge also keeps its own streak, which is unaffected. Joining a second challenge puts the profile streak at risk, and the app warns you before you do it.
Rest days
Rest days never break a streak. They are part of the challenge, not a gap in it.
The creator added days to my challenge
You stay on the version you joined. A longer version is offered — you can take it or finish what you signed up for, and days you have already completed carry over either way. A challenge can never be shortened or made harder under you.
What can other people see about me?
Your name, handle and photo, and two numbers: days PROOVed and challenges finished. Not which challenges, not which days, not who you are doing them with. Never your email address. There is a fuller list in the Privacy Policy.
Money
PROOV is free. Every challenge is free, there is no subscription, and there is nothing in the app to buy. If anyone tells you otherwise, it is not us — please report it.
